Dr. Maryam Ahsan-Forgeron, D.C.
Co-Founder & Chiropractic Physician
Dr. Ahsan-Forgeron co-founded Freedom Wellness Centers in 2015 with her husband, Dr. Karl Forgeron. She completed her honors undergraduate science degree from the University of Winnipeg, Canada in 1996, and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 2005, with additional studies at Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA.
Dr. Maryam has grounded her chiropractic care in the corrective approaches of Chiropractic Biophysics, which gives her a broad framework to draw from when helping patients. She also has specialized training in pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic care, including Webster Technique and Bagnell Pregnancy approaches, as well as foundational knowledge in Activator Technique and Sacro-Occipital Technique. This wide range of approaches allows her to tailor care to each patient's individual needs.
Dr. Maryam has a particular passion for supporting athletes in their sports performance goals through chiropractic care — a passion rooted in her own background as a high-level competitive figure skater from a young age through her early adulthood. Her philosophy centers on the whole patient: individualized, natural, and functional health care that supports her patients and their families in reaching their maximum health potential. She is especially known for her commitment to lifelong learning and her collaborative approach to care.
